* WHAT...Heat index values up to 100 degrees expected outside of the Pocono Plateau. Heat index values up to 95 degrees possible across the Pocono Plateau.

* WHERE...Carbon and Monroe Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 AM to 8 PM EDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...While the hottest conditions are expected to occur on Wednesday, heat indices will climb into the mid to upper 90s outside of the Pocono Plateau today.
