* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of central Virginia, including the following independent city, City of Lynchburg.
* WHEN...Until 630 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 348 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Burton Creek, Ivy Creek, Fishing Creek, Blackwater Creek, James River, Harris Creek, Flat Creek and Dreaming Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lynchburg... Forest... Madison Heights...
