Flash Flood Warning

At 1122 AM EDT, doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain with the potential for to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing as confirmed by local law enforcement.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Kittanning, Ford City, West Kittanning, Rural Valley, Worthington, Dayton, West Hills, Manorville, Ford Cliff, Applewold, Lenape Heights, Timblin, Templeton, Distant and Mahoning Creek Lake.

State Route 356 between Headland Road and Hinchberger Road has reported water over the runway with additional reports of ongoing flooding northeast of Kittanning.
