Flash Flood Warning

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... North Central Pima County in southeastern Arizona... Pinal County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 230 PM MST.

* At 832 AM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Marana, Sells, Eloy, Avra Valley, Kearny, Dudleyville, Santa Rosa, Picacho, San Isidro, Picacho Peak State Park, Pinal Airpark, Picture Rocks, Red Rock, Cactus Forest, Covered Wells, Anegam, Gu Oidak, Palo Verde Stand, Ak Chin and Queens Well.

This includes the following highways... Route 79 between mile markers 95 and 128. Route 86 between mile markers 89 and 112. Route 87 between mile markers 116 and 124. Route 77 between mile markers 122 and 134. Route 177 between mile markers 139 and 158. Interstate 10 between mile markers 205 and 242.

This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Suizo Rd at Cadillac Wash, Sunland Gin Rd at Greene Wash, Sasco Rd at Santa Cruz Wash, Park Link Dr between I-10 and HWY 79, Twin Peaks Rd between Sanders and Sandario and Sil Nakya Wash at Route 34.
