Beach Hazards Statement

* WHAT...Dangerous swimming conditions from high waves and rip currents expected. Waves as high as 5 to 10 feet possible.

* WHERE...Southeast Chippewa, Western Mackinac and Eastern Mackinac Counties.

* WHEN...From late tonight through Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...A high swim risk means that life-threatening waves and currents are expected. Stay out of the water and stay away from dangerous areas like piers and breakwalls.
