* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of North Carolina, including the following counties, Alleghany NC, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin and southwest Virginia, including the following county, Grayson.

* WHEN...Until noon EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 943 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 1 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Big Warrior Creek, Beaver Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Big Bugaboo Creek, Big Sandy Creek, Bee Tree Branch, Brush Creek, Arnold Branch, Bussels Creek and Big Pine Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
