Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following county, Wake.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 646 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Raleigh, Cary, Wake Forest, Garner, Zebulon, RDU International, Apex, Morrisville, Knightdale, Wendell, Rolesville, Falls Lake Boat Ramp, William B Umstead State Park, Lake Benson, Purnell, Lake Wheeler, Falls Lake State Rec Area, Falls Lake, Research Triangle and Carpenter.
