The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... North Central Clay County in northeastern Florida... Southwestern Duval County in northeastern Florida...
* Until 1215 AM EDT.
* At 1010 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Jacksonville, Orange Park, Middleburg, Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace, Normandy, Cecil Field, Ortega, Oakleaf Plantation, Lakeside and Doctors Inlet.
Mccoy and Hogan's Creek will be impacted. For Mccoy Creek, this includes the intersection of Mccoy Creek Blvd and King Street. For Hogan's Creek, this includes N Market, N Newmans, Hubbard and Orange Streets near Confederate Park.
