Special Weather Statement

At 1127 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near St George, or 16 miles east of Virgin River Gorge, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include... St George, Washington, Hurricane, Sand Hollow State Park, Quail Creek State Park, and Bloomington.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 15 between mile markers 1 and 20. Utah Route 18 between mile markers 0 and 2.
