...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE NORTHEAST PLAINS AND NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS...
.Humidity will trend down some Thursday, while wind speeds trend up sufficiently to produce critical fire weather conditions across portions of northeast NM during the afternoon and early evening hours.
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque NM has issued a Fire Weather Watch.
* AFFECTED AREA...Northeast Plains (Zone 104) and Northeast Highlands (Zone 123).
* TIMING...From Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Relative Humidity between 8 to 15 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
