.Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop near the Nevada border and south-central Oregon this afternoon. The thunderstorms are expected to be a mix of wet and dry. Expect gusty and erratic winds up to 45 mph in the vicinity of these thunderstorms.
More thunderstorms are expected Thursday afternoon in eastern Oregon.
The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Red Flag Warning for lightning, which is in effect from noon MDT /11 AM PDT/ to 9 PM MDT /8 PM PDT/ Thursday. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch for wind and low humidity from Friday afternoon through Saturday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Oregon, Fire Weather Zones 673 Central Canyonlands, 674 Northwestern Vale BLM and 675 Baker Valley.
