At 740 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Eminence, or 18 miles northwest of Van Buren, moving east at 10 mph.
These slow moving thunderstorms may produce torrential rainfall and frequent cloud to ground lightning as they move into the area by around 800 pm. They also may briefly become severe with damaging winds the primary concern.
