At 742 PM EDT, emergency management reported that PA-309 is impassable due to flooding across the roadway in the vicinity of Lanark and Hopewell Roads. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen in the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.understorms producing heavy rain in
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.
Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Easton, Bethlehem, Forks, Wilson, Hellertown, Alpha, Ferndale, West Easton, Milford, Bloomsbury, Riegelsville and Glendon.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 78 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 2...and between mile markers 6 and 10. Interstate 78 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 62 and 76.
