Special Weather Statement

At 414 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Clio to Lake Waccamaw. Movement was northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include... Lumberton, Dillon, Whiteville, Elizabethtown, Rowan, Pembroke, Fairmont, Tabor City, St. Pauls, Chadbourn, Bladenboro, Bethel, Lake Waccamaw, Rowland, Fair Bluff, Lake View, Clio, Sandyfield, Boardman, and Point Caswell.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 in South Carolina between mile markers 192 and 198. Interstate 95 in North Carolina between mile markers 1 and 34.
