The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Houston County in southeastern Texas... Northeastern Trinity County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 1000 AM CDT.

* At 809 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Rainfall rates are 1 to 2 inches per hour at times. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
