* Flash Flood Warning for... Lee County in southwestern Virginia... West Central Russell County in southwestern Virginia... Central Scott County in southwestern Virginia... Southern Wise County in southwestern Virginia... The City of Norton in southwestern Virginia...
* Until 1245 AM EDT.
* At 847 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen already this afternoon, with 1 to 2 inches of that occurring in the last hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area as more storms move in from southeast Kentucky. As such, flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
