An Air Quality Alert for wildfire smoke has been issued by the following agencies:

An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Lewis County through 5pm Wednesday August 5 due to expected wildfire smoke from regional fires. Shifting winds may bring wildfire smoke into southwest Washington as early as Monday afternoon. Smoke is expected to become more widespread Monday night into Tuesday and may continue to affect Southwest Washington through at least Wednesday. When air quality is Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups, individuals with health concerns and pre-existing conditions should reduce exposure and take precautions. This means limiting time outside, avoiding strenuous outdoor activity, and following tips for cleaner indoor air.
