Flash Flood Warning

At 653 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Crockett, Austonio, Grapeland, Kennard, Latexo and Weches.

Crocket Fire Department reported that localized flooding is already ongoing over the area. Another round of rains will worsen road conditions over the warned area and make travel especially hazardous.
