Special Weather Statement

At 540 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near High Rock Lake, or 12 miles south of Lexington, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include... Troy, Badin Lake, Seagrove, Denton, Eldorado, Fish Tales Marina, Whip-O-Will Campground, Newsom, Pinehaven Marina, and High Rock Boat Dock Marina.

This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 59 and 64.
