At 621 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated the strongest storms and heaviest rain rates have ended. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen with the storms this morning. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area as rain slowly ends. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Overland Park, Olathe, Leawood, Gardner, Spring Hill, Clare, Stanley and Stilwell.
