Iowa River at Oakville affecting Louisa County.
Iowa River at Wapello affecting Louisa County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and will continue.
* WHERE...Iowa River at Oakville.
* WHEN...Until Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, flooding of agricultural land is ongoing. Several county roads are under water and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 11.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.9 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
