* WHAT...Snow. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches above 2000 feet and 1 to 3 inches below 2000 feet, with higher amounts above pass level. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph over Atigun Pass Tuesday night.

* WHERE...Central/Eastern Brooks Range and Eastern Arctic Coast.

* WHEN...Tuesday September 1st through Wednesday September 2nd.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. Gusty winds could lead to areas of blowing snow which could significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A series of fronts working across the North Slope will support moderate snow accumulations in this region. Precipitation will remain predominantly snow in the Brooks Range, with a rain/snow mix along the Eastern Arctic Coast on Tuesday transitioning to all snow Tuesday night into Wednesday.
