High Surf Advisory

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 10 feet.

* WHERE...South and west facing reefs of Chuuk.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM ChST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Northwest swell emanating from Super Typhoon Bavi (09W) persists over the next few days as Bavi continues west-northwestward towards the Marianas. West- southwesterlies extends across Chuuk, Yap, and Palau and continues to produce an elevated west swell for Chuuk. This is leading to elevated surf along north-facing reefs and hazardous surf along south- and west-facing reefs through early Tuesday morning.
