Northern Thayer County in south central Nebraska...
* WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 311 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that thunderstorms earlier today dumped a fairly widespread 1.5 to 3.5 inches of rain across much of the Advisory area. Rain has since ended across the vast majority of the area, but minor flooding likely continues as a result of continued runoff. Fortunately, very little additional rain is expected through the rest of this afternoon into early evening, which should allow excessive runoff to continue receding. However, additional heavy rain is possible this evening and overnight, which could cause additional or renewed flooding issues. A Flood Watch is in effect for the area through 7 AM Sunday morning. - This includes the following streams and drainages... South Fork Big Sandy Creek, Beaver Creek, Little Sandy Creek, Big Sandy Creek, Walnut Creek, Dry Sandy Creek, Pawnee Creek, School Creek, Buffalo Creek, West Fork Big Blue River, Turkey Creek and Flat Creek. - Some locations that could experience flooding include... Harvard, Clay Center, Edgar, Fairfield, Shickley, Glenvil, Davenport, Bruning, Trumbull, Alexandria, Inland, Carleton, Ong, Belvidere, Strang and Hansen. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
