The National Weather Service in Raleigh has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Central Scotland County in central North Carolina...

* Until 1245 AM EDT.

* At 1142 PM EDT, NCDOT reported that US Highway 15 and 501 is down to one lane after heavy rainfall occurred earlier this evening. Up to 6 inches of rain fell. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...State Officials and 911 Call Center reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Laurinburg, Wagram, East Laurinburg and Laurel Hill.

This includes the following frequently flooded locations... Gum Swamp Creek & Dam and Richmond Mill Lake Dam.
