* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Florida, including the following counties, Manatee and Sarasota.
* WHEN...Until 1030 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 831 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... North Port, Sarasota, Myakka River State Park, Lake Sarasota, Gulf Gate Estates, South Gate Ridge, Sarasota Springs, Ridge Wood Heights, Southgate, South Sarasota, The Meadows, Kensington Park, North Sarasota, Saint Armands Key, Gator Creek Estate, Oscar Scherer State Park, Nokomis, Laurel, Hidden River and Osprey. - https://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
