* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 11 feet and dangerous rip currents expected.

* WHERE...West facing reefs of the Marianas.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong monsoon pattern continues to produce hazardous surf and a high risk of rip currents along west-facing reefs through Thursday afternoon. The High Surf Advisory and High Rip Current Risk may be extended again, potentially increasing back up to hazardous levels along north-facing reefs, as the monsoon pattern and associated west to northwest swells continue into next week.
