* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...The South Central Mountains, including the Ruidoso area burn scars.
* WHEN...From noon MDT today through this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms with rainfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour may lead to rapid runoff and flash flooding. Areas that have recently received heavy rainfall will be more susceptible to flash flooding impacts.
