At 632 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This front was located along a line extending from 11 nm west of Port Washington to 16 nm northwest of Milwaukee to 27 nm west of Whitefish Bay, moving east at 30 knots.
