.An upper trough from the Pacific is forecast to begin thunderstorms in southeast Oregon this afternoon, and southwest Idaho tonight, continuing in both areas through Saturday. Expect 30 to 50 percent areal coverage of thunderstorms with potential for new fire starts due to lightning. Initial storms may be dry with strong gusty outflow winds, especially in southeast Oregon. Storms overnight through Saturday will trend gradually wetter.
