Flood Watch

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE...A portion of west central New Mexico, including the following areas, Southwest Mountains, West Central Mountains and West Central Plateau.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered showers and thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rainfall will impact much of west central NM again this afternoon. Rainfall rates in excess of 2 inches per hour are possible due to abundant moisture persisting across the area. Slow and erratic storm motions may result in repeated rounds of precipitation.
