At 1137 PM CDT, Department of Transportations reported flooding was occurring from thunderstorms that produced heavy rain across the warned area this evening. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mountain View, Willow Springs and Ozark National Scenic Riverways.
Highway 17 was reported to be closed due to flooding at Jam Up Creek.
This includes the following low water crossings... Eleven Point River at County Road 1550, Gill Branch at Highway Y and Elevin Point River at Highway U.
