.Copious rainfall over the past two days along with yet another round of storms coming today is bringing significant flooding to central Indiana. This includes tributaries into the main stem rivers, including Flatrock River, Wildcat Creek, Mississinewa River, Big Blue River, Fall Creek, and Driftwood River.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Big Blue River at Carthage.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow morning.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, A serious flood in progress. Many local roads are impassable. Some evacuations occur in southern parts of Carthage, extreme southern sections of Knightstown, eastern Raysville and rural areas of northwest Rush County. Used auto parts yard in Carthage is extensively flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 12.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 12:30 PM EDT Thursday was 12.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
