* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...East Central Lexington County in central South Carolina... Southeastern Richland County in central South Carolina... West Central Sumter County in central South Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 554 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Columbia, West Columbia, Cayce, Forest Acres, McEntire Air Base, St. Andrews, Pine Ridge, Eastover, Horrel Hill, Hopkins, Congaree National Park, Gadsden, SC State Fair Grounds, Five Points, SC State Farmer's Market, West Columbia Riverwalk and Riverbanks Zoo. - This includes the following highways... Interstate 126 between mile markers 1 and 3. Interstate 26 between mile markers 115 and 120. Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 65 and 67.
