* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Alexander County in southern Illinois... Southwestern Union County in southern Illinois... Southern Cape Girardeau County in southeastern Missouri... Northwestern Scott County in southeastern Missouri... Northern Stoddard County in southeastern Missouri...

* Until 515 PM CDT.

* At 1214 PM CDT, Radar indicated thunderstorms producing 1 to 1.5 inches per hour worth of rain moving over areas that saw 4 to 6 inches of rainfall yesterday. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
