* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following county, Cherokee and southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Jasper, McDonald and Newton.
* WHEN...Until 1100 PM CDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 442 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - This includes the following low water crossings... Buffalo Creek at Klondike Road, Little Sugar Creek at Skaggs Hollow Road, North Indian Creek at Orchid Drive, Butler Creek at Kings Highway, Hickory Creek at Coler RD, Elkhorn Creek at Highway CC and High School Branch at McCord Street. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Joplin, Neosho, Baxter Springs, Columbus, Pineville, Webb City, Carl Junction, Galena, Oronogo, Seneca, Granby, Anderson, Carterville, Noel, Duquesne, Goodman, Duenweg, South West City, Diamond, Leawood, Silver Creek, Lanagan, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw, Treece, Dodge, Loma Linda, Airport Drive, Lowell, Stella, Redings Mill, Cayuga, Stark City, Grand Falls Plaza, Shoal Creek Estates, Dennis Acres, Cliff Village, Racine, Iron Gates and Tiff City. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
