* WHAT...North winds to 30 knots becoming northeast 15 to 25 knots. Gusts up to 35-40 knot gales early (highest near Michigan City, IN). Northeast wind 10 to 20 knots early Saturday becoming southwest and diminishing to 10 knots or less in the afternoon. Waves 12 to 17 feet subsiding to 8 to 11 feet tonight. Waves 5 to 8 feet Saturday morning subsiding to 2 to 4 feet in the afternoon.
