Flash Flood Warning

At 447 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.

Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... East Stroudsburg, Bangor, Pen Argyl, Wind Gap, East Bangor, Delaware Water Gap, Stormville, Analomink, Saylorsburg, Henryville and Alpine Mountain.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 80 in New Jersey near mile marker 0. Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 304 and 314.
