The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Morgan County in southeastern Ohio... Central Perry County in southeastern Ohio...

* Until 230 PM EDT.

* At 946 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in the warned area. Rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Between 4 and 6 inches of rain fell from overnight thunderstorms which resulted in flooding of numerous structures, vehicles, and roads. This is a dangerous situation. This additional rainfall will exacerbate the ongoing flooding and impact ongoing recovery efforts, particularly in the town of Crooskville. Responding officials and residents should prepare to move to higher ground.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... New Lexington, Somerset, Perry State Forest, Crooksville and Junction City.
