* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Southeastern York County in east central Nebraska... Northwestern Fillmore County in south central Nebraska...
* WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations continues.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 254 PM CDT, automated river gauges and ground-truth reports from observers indicated that minor flooding continued along the West Fork Big Blue River, as a result of heavy rainfall over the last few days. At 2 PM CDT, an automated gauge north of Grafton reported a stage of 13.1, which was 2.1 feet above minor flood stage of 11.0 feet. As a result, widespread flooding of pastures and fields along the river continues, as confirmed by an observer in the McCool Junction area. It is likely that water levels along the West Fork Big Blue River will remain in minor flood stage until at least sometime Friday or Friday night before very gradually dropping below flood stage, but exact timing is a bit uncertain as upstream water continues to feed into the river from smaller creeks. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Elk Run Creek, Stone Creek, Antelope Creek, West Fork Big Blue River, School Creek and Galaway Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... McCool Junction, and rural areas along the West Fork Big Blue River both upstream and downstream of McCool Junction. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
