At 307 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 15 nm northeast of Yankeetown to 12 nm east of Crystal River to 18 nm east of Bayport, moving west at 20 knots.
