For the Kankakee River...including Shelby...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Kankakee River from Near I-65 and De Motte downstream to IL/IN state line, including the Shelby gauge.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 12.5 feet, US-41 northbound is inundated south of the river. Multiple residences are threatened along Westwood Drive and Island Boulevard near Shelby.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 11.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 PM CDT Friday was 11.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise through this weekend, potentially to a crest nearing 12 feet early next week. - Flood stage is 10.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
