* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northern Jackson County in southern Mississippi...
* WHEN...Until 245 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1147 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Vancleave, Wade, Hurley and Big Point. - Due to already very saturated grounds and high rivers, any additional rainfall will quickly turn to run off and may lead to some flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
