* Flash Flood Warning for... Western George County in southeastern Mississippi... Southern Perry County in southeastern Mississippi... Stone County in southeastern Mississippi...
* Until 1100 PM CDT.
* At 754 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Wiggins, Perkinston, Whites Crossing, Big Level, Ten Mile, Bond, Perry, Deep Creek, Ramsey Springs, Barbara and Texas.
With the tremendous amount of rainfall received over the past 24 to 36 hours, this additional rainfall will quickly become runoff, promoting additional flooding concerns.
