At 1257 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 27 nm northeast of Wilmette Harbor to near Montrose Harbor to 7 nm west of Hammond Marina, moving east at 25 knots. This line of thunderstorms is about one hour from entering the waters of SE Lake Michigan.
