.Heavy rainfall has caused the St. Johns River near Deland to rise into Minor Flood Stage. The River is forecast to climb through Minor flood stage, approaching Moderate flood stage late week.

* IMPACTS...At 4.8 feet, Water starts to enter low lying buildings around Hontoon Island. Many secondary roads and homes in low lying areas are flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM EST Monday the stage was 4.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 3.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight and continue rising to 4.7 feet Saturday evening.
