The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... The Moenkopi Wash in... Coconino County in north central Arizona...

* Until 500 AM MST /600 AM MDT/.

* At 208 AM MST /308 AM MDT/, a river gauge on the Moenkopi Wash reported a rise of 9 feet over the past hour, reaching flood stage. This is due to heavy rainfall upstream earlier Tuesday. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding along the Moenkopi Wash.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Moenkopi Wash.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tuba City and Moenkopi.

This includes the following highways... Highway 160 between mile markers 318 and 321. U.S. Highway 89 between mile markers 476 and 478. State Route 264 between mile markers 323 and 324.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Moenkopi Wash, Little Colorado River, Hamblin Wash, Fivemile Wash and Begashibito Wash.
