* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following counties, Fairfield and New Haven and southeast New York, including the following counties, Putnam and Westchester.

* WHEN...Until 545 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 335 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bridgeport, Stamford, Norwalk, Danbury, Milford, Shelton, Southbury, New Canaan, Lake Carmel, Sherman, Brewster, Newtown, Fairfield, Stratford, Trumbull, Westport, Ridgefield, Darien, Monroe and Bethel. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
