West Nueces River At Brackettville affecting Uvalde and Kinney Counties.
* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...West Nueces River at Brackettville.
* WHEN...From this morning to late tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Major flooding extends several hundred yards into the flood plain severely scouring roads and fences. Livestock are threatened from the headwaters to the Nueces River confluence. Residents of lowest homes downstream in Crystal City are threatened.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 21.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:30 AM CDT Wednesday was 21.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.0 feet this morning.
