* WHAT...South to southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected, mainly near the coast.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result. Travel could be difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong front pushing inland into Southwest Alaska will continue to bring southerly to southwesterly winds with gusts to 50 mph expected, mainly for coastal areas. The strongest winds look to push into Kuskokwim Bay and across the Delta this afternoon through this evening. Following the frontal passage, gusty onshore winds continue through Friday morning and slowly weaken through Friday afternoon. With a long fetch of high end small craft and gale force winds, this will result in higher waves and rough seas along the Kuskokwim Bay coast. Even though winds are expected to slowly decrease late Friday morning into Friday afternoon, high seas coinciding with high tide Friday afternoon will likely push water levels 1 to 2 feet above the normal high tide line for the Kuskokwim Bay coast.
